
Her Story
Founder of Abua Media, Masechaba has worked in mainstream media fulfilling the dual role of online writer and field reporter at Primedia’s Eyewitness News (EWN) which services four regional radio stations, namely: Talk Radio 702, 947, Cape Talk and Kfm.
Earlier in her career, Masechaba was freelance producer for the SABC’s 2009 Election Magazine programme. This was followed by her entry into government communications as communications officer in the North West Department of Health.
A proud MoTswana and resident of the North West, before returning to freelancing and establishing her own company in 2020, Masechaba worked as deputy news editor at regional radio station, You FM, in the province.
Masechaba is a member of the events organising committee and spokesperson for the Dr Molefi Sefularo Foundation, which was established in memoriam of her late father Dr Molefi Sefularo. The foundation hosts two separate annual memorial lectures in partnership with the Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University and the University of Witwatersrand’s (Wits) School of Health’s Sheiham Family/Wits Programme.
